Melanie Brown, who is currently fighting with her baby’s father, Eddie Murphy met his ex-wife, Nicole Murphy.

The two were having lunch at the Ivy in Beverly Hills, just a day after Melanie sharply criticized Eddie in a press conference for failing to acknowledge his daughter or pay any child support.

With the two moms were Melanie´s 4-month-old daughter, Angel Iris, and Nicole’s daughter Bella Zahra, 5, the youngest of the five children she had with Eddie during their 12-year marriage.

In the meantime Eddie Murphy responded to Melanie´s allegations with following statement:

“Eddie Murphy always has and will continue to honor his responsibilities as a father. Mr. Murphy and Ms. Brown dated very briefly and never made any plans of ANY sort. He acknowledges paternity of the child Angel, and has paid child support to Ms. Brown as well as covering the expenses of her pregnancy. Mr. Murphy views this as a private matter and as such, will not be making any further comments about it.”

Eddie Murphy proposed to girlfriend Tracey Edmonds with a yellow diamond engagement ring this past week.

The pair is planning a low key, private and very romantic wedding.

Murphy’s first wedding to Nicole Mitchell in 1993 is ranked in the top ten most expensive celeb weddings of all time by Forbes. They split in 2005.

Murphy is currently in a bitter battle with former girlfriend and mother of his child Scary Spice Melanie Brown, with whom he split right before meeting Edmonds.

Eddie Murphy supports girlfriend Tracey Edmonds at the Hollywood premiere of her studio’s first movie, Who’s Your Caddy?, on Monday.

The pair has just returned from their holidays in Italy.

R&B singer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, 49, and Tracey Edmonds, 40, have finalized their divorce after announcing the end of their marriage in October 2005.

They had been married for 13 years and have two sons together.

The couple have produced movies and television shows together.

Tracey Edmonds is currently dating Eddie Murphy.

The results of the DNA test, which Eddie Murphy took on June 11, prove that he is the father of Melanie Brown’s 2-month-old daughter Angel Iris Murphy Brown.

Mel B, 32, who never doubted Eddie, 46, is the father, received the results on Thursday afternoon.

First Murphy refused to take a paternity test and he has not shown any interest in his daughter yet.

Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, 31, has given birth to a daughter in California early Tuesday.

Brown’s mother, Andrea, and her eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix, were both present during the birth. The girl has not yet been named and is purely known as Baby Brown.

Brown has said ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy, 46, is the father. The “Dreamgirls” star has said he’s not sure.

The Oscar-nominated actor, whose marriage to Nicole Mitchell ended last April, is now dating Tracey Edmonds. Murphy has five children with Mitchell.

Brown, known as Scary Spice when she was in the megahit group, has her first daughter from her marriage to Jimmy Gulzar. Gulzar married Brown in 1998. Their 15-month marriage ended in divorce in 2000.
