Madonna, 49, has met with British divorce attorney Fiona Shackleton, who represented Paul McCartney in his split from Heather Mills.
Madonna and film director Guy Richie, 39, have been confronted with Breakup rumors for years. In the May issue of U.K. Elle, Madonna denied marriage troubles.
It is believed that the couple, who married in 2000, did not have a prenup. Madonna is worth an estimated $600 million.
They have two children Rocco Ritchie, 7, and David Banda, 21 months, whom they adopted in Malawi in 2006, together. Madonna also has daughter, Lourdes, 11, from a previous relationship with fitness trainer Carlos Leon.
