Soap star Justin Bruening, 28, has been cast as the new Knight Rider, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The ex-All My Children star is set to play the son of Michael Knight, the character played by David Hasselhoff, in a sequel to the 1980s series.

The pilot, which is going to be directed by Steve Shill, is set to start shooting before the end of the year.
