The reunited Spice Girls will release a greatest-hits album and start touring the world on December 7 in L.A., it was announced in London today.
They are expected to earn about £10 million each for their comeback.
To announce their reunion Geri “Ginger” Halliwell , Victoria “Posh” Beckham, Melanie “Scary” Brown, Emma “Baby” Bunton and Melanie “Sporty” Chisholm appeared on stage together at London’s O2 Arena today for the first time since 1998.
The Spice Girls started their career with their hit “Wannabe” in 1996. The group fired their manager Simon Fuller in 1997; Halliwell quit a year later and the remaining four split up in early 2001.
The five girls, now all in their thirties have been busy lately: Brown welcomed daughter, Angel Iris, in April; Halliwell had a baby girl in May; and Bunton is expecting her first child in August. Beckham, who is the mother of three boys, is moving to Beverly Hills on July 12, where her NBC show will be airing four days later.
